And the beginning of the New Barn!

Please read the previous post if you thought, "What Barn?"

Here are some pictures of what we accomplished today.  By 5pm we had finished the framing of the walls.  This is a stack of the 8ft x 8ft. sections, count them 5.

Here is that same stack and the stack of 5ft x 8ft sections, again 5 of them.

Here is the front of the barn.  It may be hard to see if for all the extra studs in there.  We were getting ready to cover everything up with the sheet metal from the old roof.

Well, there you have it, mission for the day accomplished.  I am not sure when the walls will go up, we need to put the posts in for the base, and it is supposed to pour down rain tomorrow, but we really feel like we earned our hot baths and supper tonight.

I actually was able to clean out the pantry today too!  I did it while DH was running out for more studs.

Until next time, Happy Weaving, Tina

  1. Tina,
I am so excited for you! Will the goats sleep in there or is it just for feed? Wow, you can have a milking parlor!
